Asante Kotoko , the reigning Ghana Premier League champions, are expected in Turkey next month for the pre-season ahead of the Champions League campaign, AfrikPage has learned this Monday, July 25, 2022.
Sources close to the Ghanaian club have indeed confirmed to our editorial staff that this course will take place from August 15 to 30.
This trip should strengthen the team ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League & Confederation Cup campaign.
This will be the second consecutive time that Asante Kotoko will hold a pre-season camp outside the country.
Before the start of the 2021/22 season, the team traveled to Dubai.
Turkey remains one of the countries that mostly hosts training camps for African clubs and even national teams.
Last March before the first part of the qualifiers for the AFCON 2023, the national team of Benin, Malawi, Sierra Leone or even Togo were training in Antalya, the most touristic city of the Turkey.
