Turkey earthquake: Update on the situation of Christian Atsu

Sources closer to Ghanaian player Christian Atsu have brought news on his condition after he was reported missing yesterday following the devastating earthquake in Turkey that claimed thousands of lives.


The concern is enormous for many people including Ghanaian international Christian Atsu buried under the rubble.

Finally, wonderful news came from Turkey came. Ghanaian midfielder has been found alive, his own manager has said.

The world of football is no exception to this great concern, notably with the case of Christian Atsu, the former Chelsea or Newcastle midfielder who also shone in the Ghana jersey.

Playing for Hatayspor, Atsu was also missing yesterday.

It aroused great concern, but finally led to great news. Club manager Mustafa Ozat confirmed this morning that the 31 year old footballer was found alive, and taken to hospital with injuries.

In a tweet, the Ghana Football Association also hailed the “positive news” about the international winger.
