On Sunday at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, Kara’s ASKO offered another three points to their hosts Pyramids FC. Kondonas completely fell in the group becoming the last after losing (1-0) this 3rd day of the African Football Confederation Cup.
The Egyptians took the lead in Group C of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup after winning the matchday three home duel against ASKO.
On Sunday, Fakhreddine Ben Youssef’s first-half goal was all Pyramids needed to edge past the Togolese. Youssef scored with a header in the 28th minute when captain Abdallah Said’s cross found him close to the penalty area.
Abalo Dosseh’s men put on the pressure, forcing Pyramids into their own half in the second half, but they couldn’t equalise.
So far, ASKO have scored only one point obtained thanks to the draw against Future FC in Lomé on February 12th.
Therefore, Group C is led by Pyramids FC, which totals 7 points. AS FAR, which beat ASKO 5-1 on Sunday February 19, won 5 points, while Future FC is fourth with 2 points.

With that, it’s a long way to go for the Togolese club which still has three return matches as part of the group stage of this CAF Confederation Cup.
