Noël Le Graët, the boss of the French Football Federation (FFF), in office since 2011, resigns although his fourth term should normally end in 2024.

It can not be otherwise. Entangled in several scandals, the president of
FFF was pushed out by many political and sporting authorities in his country. He has, in the meantime, been pushed aside by the other members of the Executive Committee.

The inspection report commissioned by the Ministry of Sports accuses him of several breaches deemed serious. An investigation has been open since January 16 against him for moral and sexual harassment by the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The former mayor of Guingamp, with this resignation, will have the necessary time to better prepare his defense and try, as he himself says, to “wash his honor”.
