Although the U20 selection of the Sparrowsharks of Togo has not recorded any victory in the current WAFU-B tournament in Côte d’Ivoire, they will face Burkina Faso this Monday, July 17, 2023 in the semi-finals.

Initially, Group B included Togo, Benin and Nigeria. However, following the withdrawal of the Nigerians from the competition, only Benin and Togo remained in contention.

Therefore, both teams automatically qualified for the semi-finals. Togo could avoid in the last four, Burkina Faso, very sharp since the start of this 2nd edition of WAFU-B, if they had won Benin in the only match of group B played last Friday.

But the Togolese had been dominated 2 goals to 1 against the junior Cheetahs. The latter will therefore play against Côte d’Ivoire this afternoon.

Togo will face Burkina Faso at 3 p.m. GMT, while the Benin-Côte d’Ivoire clash is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
