According to the Beninese Football Federation (FBF), a delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is currently on an inspection mission in Cotonou, Benin, as part of this country’s bid to host the African Cup Nations (AFCON 2027).
A new CAF delegation arrived in the capital of Benin yesterday afternoon and is still there, the football association said.
CAF inspectors will visit the hotel infrastructure as well as the various stadiums that could accommodate the teams participating in the continental tournament.

Benin and Nigeria’s joint bid to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations is in competition with those of Morocco, Algeria and Zambia, after Guinea withdrew due to a major delay.
In the process, CAF experts went to Benin last April to inspect the Stade de l’Amitié Général Mathieu Kérékou in Cotonou and the Charles De Gaulle stadium in Porto-Novo.
