The championship, held last Sunday, witnessed a gathering of top-tier bodybuilders from West Africa, including Ivory Coast, Benin, Nigeria, and other nations, who converged in Lome, Togo, to vie for top honors in various competition categories.

In the men’s physique segment, Ampadu showcased remarkable agility and finesse that captured the attention of the judging panel, resulting in his well-deserved victory in this category.

In the overall competition, Ampadu emerged as the runner-up, competing amongst over 100 participants in the men’s bodybuilding and physique events, which were categorized into lightweights, middleweights, and heavyweights.

Following his triumphant performance at the WABBA Togo Championship, Ampadu expressed his elation and extended gratitude to his supporters who have stood by him throughout his journey.

“The competition was fierce, yet I arrived here with a single purpose – to secure victory. I am overjoyed to have achieved this goal and immensely thankful for the unwavering support from my fans, both morally and financially, which enabled me to be here. I eagerly anticipate securing more medals for Ghana in future tournaments and will persist in my unwavering dedication to reaching the pinnacle,” Martinson Ampadu commented.
