The daughter of the first President of Ghana, Samia Yaba Nkrumah, has commissioned on September 21, 2021 a three-unit classroom block for the Tikobo 2, in the Jomoro, where she was MP from 2013 to 2017.

Samia said that this donation was to honour her father’s centenary celebration.

“Because of Osagyefo Dr Nkrumah’s good deeds, every year people all over the world celebrate his birthday, so if you want your legacy to live on then do good for the people around you”, Yaba said to journalists.

The structure commissioned is aimed at creating a conducive teaching and learning environment for both pupils and staff in the quest for good quality education delivery.

“A successful society is characterized by a rising living standard for its population, increasing investment in factories, basic infrastructure such as schools, hospitals and roads, and the generation of income which is invested in generating new discoveries in science and technology.”, she added on social media.

The school administration pledged to maintain the new facility to last longer to achieve its intended purpose.
