Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay official visits to Africa this October, including Nigeria, Angola and Togo on October 20, 2021.

According to the Togolese authorities, this trip, the first of its kind, is part of an African tour.

In Togo, the Turkish leader will notably be received by the Head of State, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, with whom he has spoken in recent months. Then he should mark his passage with other activities.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also toured Africa last year.

He had been received between July, in Equatorial Guinea, Niger and Togo. Then in September in Niger, Mali, Guinea-Bissau and Senegal.
