The family of former President of the Republic of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings, have announced that the first anniversary of his death will be on Friday, November 12.
In a press release issued Tuesday by the executive secretary of the late president’s cabinet, Kobina Andoh Amoakwa, said a remembrance mass will be held on the same day.
“Due to Covid-19 requirements the Holy Spirit Cathedral will host a limited number of congregants. Seating will thus be on a first come, first served basis”, noted the statement.
The attire for the occasion which will take place in Accra, Adabraka, is white.

Friends, sympathisers and the general public have been invited to participate in the Remembrance Mass, which will begin at 9 a.m.
The former president of Ghana died at Korle Bu University Hospital in Accra after a short illness on November 12, 2020.
