A few minutes before his goal against Cape Verde in the ongoing AFCON, Sadio Mané suffered a violent head-to-head clash with Vozinha, Cape Verde’s goalkeeper. The latter visited the Liverpool player who was sent to hospital.

The Senegalese star had to leave the game for treatment. But before this substitution, Mané stood out in the game with a nice goal in the 64th minute.

Goalkeeper Vozinha got a red card, a second exclusion from the Cape Verdean camp giving the Taranga Lions a chance to double the score.

The two teams then separated with 2-0. Senegal will therefore qualify for the quarter-finals.
