The German club Bayern Munich have suspended their player Sadio Mane and are taking a fine from his £17million-a-year salary for “misconduct”.

Tuesday ended badly for Mane after his side lost 3-0 to Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Etihad.

The Senegalese star reportedly punched teammate Leroy Sane in the face in a spat after the loss to Man City.

Bayern Munich have suspended the Best 2022 African Footballer of the Year winner until further notice after a locker room fight with Leroy Sane on Tuesday.
