AFRIMMA 2023 Awards: Unveiling the Complete Winners

The AFRIMMA 2023 Awards Show was held at the glamorous Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas on September 17th. The three-day event featured the AFRIMMA Fashion Show, AFRIMMA Pre-Party, and AFRIMMA Music Panel. Fans around the world are still buzzing with excitement as they celebrate the winners.

This year, Ghana’s King Promise soared to new heights, clinching the Best Male West Africa award in a fierce competition that included the likes of Satrinos Raphael, Omah Lay, Buju, Adekunle Gold, Black Sherif, Asake, Didibo, and Tonton.

The battle for the Best Female West Africa title was no less intense, with strong contenders like Ammarae, Tems, Josey, Manamba Kante, Gyakie, Tiwa Savage, Fatoumata Diawara, and Ayra Starr. However, it was Ayra Starr who emerged victorious.

In a touching tribute, the late South African rapper AKA’s legacy continues to shine, with Nadia Nakai also claiming victory in the female category for the subregion. AKA, even in his absence, continues to leave an indelible mark on the music industry.

The dynamic Togolese duo, Toofan, once again found themselves in the winner’s circle at the 10th edition of Afrimma, adding to their impressive collection of awards. Known for their genre-blending musical style, Barabas and Master Just of Toofan are redefining musical boundaries.

The spotlight also shone on the sensational Ghetto Kids, who wowed audiences on Britain’s Got Talent and made history by earning the golden buzzer. At AFRIMMA 2023, they were rightfully crowned as the Best African Dancer, showcasing their incredible talent to the world.
