Egypt and Senegal reached the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021) on Sunday. The Phoarohs will face hosts Cameroon, while The Lions of Teranga will play against Burkina-Faso on Wednesday.
Egypt beat Morocco (2-1) on Sunday after extra time at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in the Cameroonian capital, Yaoundé.
Later, in the same place, Aliou Cissé’s men dominated Equatorial Guinea (3-1), thus qualifying for the semi-final.

The Senegalese will therefore meet their West African neighbors, Burkina Faso in the first semi-final on Wednesday, February 02, 2022.
Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is giving the green light to Olembe Stadium in Yaounde to host Thursday’s second semi-final between Cameroon and Egypt and the final on February 6.
Games at this stadium had been temporarily suspended after the death of eight (8) people, including a child, in a stampede on January 24.
